玄旻高上帝玉皇大天尊
Noble Emperor of Heaven, Jade Emperor, Mighty Noble one of Heaven
慈念塵土末劫，
Fill with great compassion for the impending calamity of the world.
發大悲心，
Raise great compassionate actions and kindness.
揚大教化，
To propagate the teaching of morality and compassion.
渡一切苦厄，
In relieving all human suffering and avoiding all disasters.
救一切蒼生。
To save all living beings.
眾善子！
To all adherents of compassion.
教不離德，德不離身，
Teachings of humanity shall not deviate from morality. Morality shall not depart from one’s thoughts and actions.
天命為性，率性歸真。
Living the life of good moral character in conduct and practices. Cultivate your character to return to its true nature self and compassion.
是故有諸行藏，
In all actions and thoughts.
不欺不偽，不貪不妄，不驕不怠。
Refrain from deceit and pretence. Refrain from greed and excessive desire. Refrain from arrogance and laziness.
塵世無魅，無侵損相害，無是非訟擾。
To a state where no evil in thoughts and actions exist the world. No encroachment and harm will be done to others. No gossips, defamation and litigations will be done to others.
赤心古樸，積精為神，
With heart as pure like the ancient time with no corrupt deeds, thoughts and material desires. With every drop of energy preserved to concentrate and ensure.
水火刀兵不見，災疫疾厄不遇。
Calamity such as flood, fire and war will disappear. Sickness, epidemics and misery will be avoided.
恬愉自得，慧志潔淨，常持聖典。
And enjoy the happiness and contentment. With purity of thoughts and wisdom. By having the scripture by your side as a guide.
超凡化真，心廣體胖，家室安寧。
And elevate the routines and daily conduct to achieve your true nature. With mind and body enjoy the blissful living. That unites and harmonizes family affairs and relationship.
以增天爵，以邀吉亨。
Bestow with divine recognition. To receive and be rewarded with good returns.
至誠無物，至妙至精，道化成理，虔感至靈。
Absolute truthfulness and sincerity are beyond any comparison with any material possession. Becomes absolute joy and ultimate destiny. Teachings and practices of morality embedded in daily conduct. Sincerity and piety to achieve spiritual awakening.

一、創教緣起
1939 年（民國二十八年）農曆五月二十四日，正值抗日戰火延燒、疫病肆虐之際。先賢楊文秀（柳春芳）、李妹諸人於廣東潮陽縣和平鄉設壇扶鸞，恭奉玉皇大天尊及諸佛仙真降鸞垂訓，秉持「發大悲心，揚大教化，渡一切苦厄，救一切蒼生」之宏願，開創德教。
